Building Trust and Inspiring Participation

My offerings

  • Facilitated participatory sessions with reflective prompts

  • Supported the creation of individual dissemination strategy plans for each CAB member

  • Designed culturally sensitive dissemination materials incorporating impactful quotes from CAB members

Background
The project aimed to empower the CAB to become advocates for dementia care awareness. We recognized the need to provide the CAB with easy-to-understand information showcasing projects that utilized creative and unconventional dissemination methods.

Co-creation
We facilitated 6 interactive sessions where CAB members shared lessons learned and brainstormed creative ideas. These sessions fostered a safe space for person stories, emotions related to dementia and embraced diverse communication styles.

Impact
CAB members disseminated 200 one-pagers, 350 booklets, and 620 postcards through various community channels. This resulted in:

  1. Increased community engagement with dementia care information

  2. Direct interest from individuals seeking participation in the study

  3. Identifying the need for a similar project focused on the Russian community
